Stefan Constantinescu, Editor On November 19, 2006 Stefan started Ring Nokia. He had absolutely no clue how it gained such an immense following, but after less than 6 months of rants and intense coverage on the Finnish giant he was offered a position at IntoMobile. He simply couldn’t refuse the offer because it was his ticket out of America; it was his opportunity to work from anywhere in the world as long as he had an internet connection. Stefan always loved Europe due to the rich history and diversity of cultures and one day instead of buying a Nokia E90 he chose to purchase a ticket to Finland. Why Finland? Simple, Stefan feels he could make a difference in the company who he has loved for over half a decade. Nokia is the number one handset manufacturer in the world, but consumers rarely get an opportunity to meet the people behind their favorite products, Stefan wants to change that. If you enjoy a fine meal, don’t you want to know who made it? If you love to relieve stress and tension by taking a drive around the block, don’t you want to know more about your car and the people who designed and built it? Some people could care less, but those are not the people Stefan is targeting. Stefan is a mobile phone enthusiast who lives and breathes devices that connect to the internet and he knows that there are others like him out there. When Nokia CEO Olli-Pekka Kallasvuo said he wants Nokia to become an Internet company he immediately started asking questions to try and understand what that meant exactly and in August 2007 it became clear with the launch of Ovi. Stefan’s goal at the end of the day is to revolutionize the marketing department at Nokia and actually force them to use the abundant array of social tools out there to connect the people behind the devices and services to the people who love using them on a daily basis. Starting March 17, 2008 Stefan began his role as a Communications Specialist for Nokia. |

Simon Sage, Editor Simon Sage’s education largely surrounded writing, technology and online community, leading him to begin his blogging career at www.BlackBerryCool.com and to quickly discover a vibrant and active community surrounding BlackBerry and mobile technology. In exploring RIM’s platform, he has learned what enterprises are looking for in mobility as well as what makes the innocuous BlackBerry so appealing to them. Recently Simon’s been covering RIM’s gradual move into an already-crowded consumer market, and the impact of burgeoning challengers, such as the iPhone, as well as long-time leaders, like Nokia, on BlackBerry’s advancement. With plenty of content under his belt, Simon will be branching off a bit to see what other smartphone manufacturers are working on while still using BlackBerry as a barometer. At IntoMobile, you can count on his posts being even-handed, well-informed and thought-out. |
